This picture is of my honey (Woody) and one of our dogs (Scraps). Aren't they adorable? It's just a bit of eye candy to draw ya in ... now I'm going to quickly switch topics. ;o)

Bugsy has me COMPLETELY addicted to Ebay. I only got on an hour ago to check on Lesbian Mystery Books. NOW I have 4 bids on mystery books, 3 bids on cookbooks, and I'm still looking. I knew there was a reason I hadn't clicked over to Ebay before now... I may never leave. Of course as an addict I already have begun rationalizing my habit. You see it's very difficult to find lesbian detective/mystery books here in my little corner of the world. I know -- you're shocked aren't you? What? A small town in a red state isn't well-stocked in alternative literary selections? Oh dear. Well you should be shocked... cause I need to feed my book habit. And since the local stores couldn't keep me sufficiently stocked up (and the library has about 3 lesbian books) I've been jonesing for a fix. So really... (hear the addict talk?) it's not MY fault -- it's the town's fault. If they had been sufficiently sensitive to my needs I wouldn't be in this mess.

Okay -- enough chatter -- gotta go check on my bids. :o)

Has anyone started planning for Christmas?

Normally I'm a "last minute shopper" kind of gal. However, I'm trying to turn over a new leaf. Reason? I'm feeling way behind and it's only the 25th of July. Woody's twin sister, Bugsy, has been buying various assorted Christmas gifts from EBay and storing them in her room. For the past month, at least one package a day has arrived from points around the globe. Bugsy is known for giving too many gifts at Christmas time, but still -- she's great at planning ahead and really finding just the right gifts for Woody and I.

So far my only effort has been to plan how much to save each month from now until the end of November. And then I visited this Organized Christmas website for inspiration. I think that's quite enough for now. Maybe in August I'll knit a gift or something. I mean really -- you can't go from an 11th-hour shopper to Type-A Christmas Queen in one year. Right?

Well looky here. They've added a picture option to blogger while I've been away. How fun is that? BTW: That's my doggie Madison --->

It's 5 am right now -- lots of little things are MUCH more interesting to me than they are during daylight hours.

I went to bed at 8 pm last night. What's the matter with me? Am I heading straight from my 30's into my 80's? YIKES.

Since I fell asleep so early I, of course, woke up at 3 am with no ability to sleep any longer. And since there is something VERY wrong about being productive at 3 am -- unless you've been up all night and are STILL being productive -- I'm surfing the internet, playing Cubis, and watching The Contender. I could be doing my mountain of laundry, BUT I can't bring myself to start that until at least 6 am. I mean what if this becomes a pattern?
